Week 154 - For the Boys and Men

Hello Everyone,

I hope that this finds you all well and keeping busy crafting.  Well, it has been another busy week (when do I blog when it hasn't been lol!)  Our Son Karl turned 21 yesterday and we had a great day at a Quadbike centre - no I didnt take part but Mark, Karl and Lisa, Karl's lovely girlfriend, did and they had a great laugh and got very dirty! In the evening we had a fabulous family meal at Gino's Italian Restaurant in Lincoln which we can highly recommend for anyone that enjoys Italian food.

Talking of Karl's birthday I thought that I would post the card that I made for him as the lovely Helene's challenge at Allsorts this week is cards for the men and boys.

As ever the picture isn't perfect but I hope that you can make out all the detail on it.  I used We R Memory Keepers Vintage Distressed Jeans paper which I love and I distressed it a little more with TH distress tool and gold Adirondack paint Dabber.  I also used grungepaper accents, alphabet and numbers, distressed and painted these with the gold.  I have also embellished with a key hole (not easy to see) and attached a brass key.  The corners and sprockets are metal, again, from Ideaology.
To finish off I have used Creative Expressions screw brads which are great fun to use.

I hope that you like my piece this week, Karl thought it was 'cool'!

Tomorrow is another busy day as I am going to the Parchment exhibition in Harrogate which I am very much looking forward to and next week we go away for a few days to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary so I hope the weather keeps behaving itself.

Pop over to the Allsorts Challenge blog to have a look at the fab DT inspiration.

I hope that you all have a go at the Challenge and also have a fabulous week.
Bye for now
Jo x
