Day 5 - A little Pink and Pretty

Good Monday Morning Crafters

Todays little piece of inspiration for a dull January morning is, as the title says, pink and pretty.

This was a card that the workshop ladies did in the last get-together of 2014 and it was lovely to do something other than Christmas!
Both of the dies used are from Tonic and they are so delicate and pretty and would look fabulous on all sorts of occasional cards. The fan is from the Rococo range and the edger die is from the Header die range.  The band of organza ribbon really sets the fan off with its additional flowers from the Hobby House and a feather to soften everything.
This, again, is such as easy card to make and quite pretty for me!! lol.
I'm going to be a busy girl today preparing for some of the Pick of the Day shows that I am doing for Steph and the Team at Tattered Lace.  It's a little early to post any samples today but will pop a couple on on Wednesday to show you what I have been up to.  I have 3 shows on Wednesday afternoon if Nancy leaves any stock for us to sell!!

Please pop by again tomorrow again to have a look at what day 6 will bring.
Thankyou, as always, for popping in and please leave a comment if you have time to spare.
Bye for now

DAY 25 - Christmas Inspiration

Good Morning Everyone,

Well, I can't believe that we are on our last 5 days of inspiration and I hope by now that at least one project has inspired you to get cracking with your Christmas projects.  (I am sure that most of you are all done!)
Today we have a card from Tonic and was on the Christmas Craftinator about a month ago.
This is the Rococo mug and I have cut it all in white cardstock and then used my pro-markers to colour all of the different elements and adhered them together.  I really enjoyed making this one it was fun!
I should have opened the card to show how I have folded it back. I stamped a christmas message from Sheena's stamps and embellished around the edge with the branch stamp again from Sheena.  This was stamped using Forest Moss distress ink. The corner is also a Tonic

DAY 18 - Christmas Inspiration

Hello Crafters!

Firstly, I need to apologise for treasing you all yesterday, I'm afraid that the news I have will have to wait a few more days! I promise you will all be in the know when I get the ok to spill the beans!
Today I have another Tonic sample to show you, this was a card design that was shown on the Christmas Craftinator show. (the flash was a little bright on the bauble - sorry!)

I have cut the Christmas Verso die into black glitter card leaving the pattern in the card.
the Rococo bauble die has been cut and embossed onto mirri card and gems placed around the middle of the design.  I have used the Rococo Poinsettia strip in the lower corner.
The flower has been cut in glitter card too to give it a bit of bling!
A few gems finish the design off.
I hope this is another design that inspires you all, I am really enjoying reading all of your comments and really appreciate you all taking the time to leave a comment.
Keep commenting to be in with a chance at the blog candy!!
Hope to see you all again tomorrow,
Bye for now

DAY 11 - Christmas Inspiration

Hello Crafters!

Thankyou for all of your lovely comments on my Christmas Inspiration so far. I am so grateful to everyone for making the effort to leave a comment.
(If you are unsure about how to leave a comment please ask and I will help you)

Today's offering is not a card ~

It's a decorated box instead.
I have covered the box using 12" x 12" papers from Crafts Creation and then used one of the tonic Christmas Baubles to simply and easily decorate the top of the box.  The box measured approximately 7" by 4" and would be suitable for so many different gift ideas at Christmastime.
The star has been cut in white glitter card to give it a bit of bling.  Ribbon, organza and a buckle finish the box off.
I think whoever receives this, with a present in it, would be pleased (and even better if they are a crafter! I am sure that there would be a future use for it to store some bits and pieces!)
I hope you like the project and thankyou again for popping by.
Don't forget by leaving a comment you will automatically be put into the draw for blog candy at the end of the 30 days.
Hope to see you here again tomorrow,
Bye for now

DAY 6 - Christmas Inspiration

Hello Crafters,

Good Friday Afternoon!
Today I have another card using some of the recent Tonic Christmas designs and really enjoy
all the different designs that you can do with them.
What did we do without our dies I often ask myself!

I have used the star from the Christmas Ornaments set and also one of the Edger dies that shows another way of using these apart from on the edge.  I have used embossed cardstock for the background.
The star and the border on the edge is silver glitter card.
Some pearl embellishments and ribbon finish off this really quick card.
I hope that you are enjoying my daily Christmas Inspiration, please leave a comment if you want to be in with a shot at winning the Blog Candy at the end of the 30 days.
Please pop by tomorrow when I will have 2 cards, one for the Allsorts Challenge and one for the Christmas Inspiration.
Thankyou as ever for popping by,
Bye for now

Day 2 - Christmas Inspiration

Hello Crafters,

Welcome to Day 2 of my month of Christmas Inspiration.
It just happens to be another sample using the Tonic Poinsettia and it is another really simple design which would made an ideal card to batch make if you need to make a large number of Christmas cards for friends and family and time does not allow you to spend too much time on each card.  The paper is from Woodware and although the picture doesn't show it too clearly I have rolled the top of the paper which gives a little definition and also inked the edges to give it the vintage look.  A simple knot in the organza ribbon finishes this off.

Thankyou for popping in and don't forget to leave a message so that you will be in for a chance at some really lovely Blog Candy at the end of the Christmas Inspiration.
Hope to see you again tomorrow,
bye for now

Week 274 - Early Christmas Makes

Hello Everyone,

When you are reading this we will be on our last day of our holidays :[ but I am sure we have had a lovely time!  I always say that when the holiday comes to an end you need to come home and start back to work to save up for next years! it is a positive to get over a negative!!

This week the Team have been asked to show a project entitled:-

Early Christmas Makes

I always say that I wont start Christmas workshops until after August so that we can then get into the Christmas spirit but not whilst the sun is shining but I have actually been making samples for demonstrations, T.V and design work since the end of May so I have got into the swing of it.

This is a project that I did for Tonic Studios - I am working as part of the Design Team.
These dies were part of the Christmas Tonic show a couple of week ago and they were all stunning and so fabulous to use.
The star is a Christmas ornament and can be used on its own hanging from your tree which is lovely.
The Winter wishes are part of a set of edger dies and these flew when they were shown on T.V.
I wasn't surprised as these really were a joy to use.

I hope this gives you some inspiration and if you need some more please pop over to the Allsorts Challenge Blog where the rest of the lovely team will be able to give you some more to get you started on the road to Christmas!

Thankyou, as always for popping by and I hope that you can find a minute to pop a comment down - you know I love to hear from you x
Bye for now

Trade Show pictures

Hello Everyone,

I hope that you have enjoyed a lovely weekend and have spent it relaxing as much as possible.
As promised I have some photographs from the trade show which Mark and I had pleasure attending last weekend.  The show was a lot bigger this year and there were more International companies than last year so that was interesting.

I am going to start off with this fabulous photograph with two of my favourite celebrity men
Mr Nigel May and Mr Phil Martin no less!!!
It was lovely to see you both.

and here is the lovely Jodie Johnson from Tonic Studios and one of her fabulous creations that she makes from the Tonic Dies.  We placed an order for a great range of Tonic Products including these dies and punches that Jodie demonstrates so brilliantly on Create and Craft.

Here are some more of Jodie's fabulous creations and I am sure you will agree with me they look so life like. Really looking forward to getting this order so we can start creating fabulous blooms in the workshops.

And now for the lovely Noreen from Flowersoft deomonstrating the stunning new moulds that Flowersoft have launched recently on Create and Craft.
These have the most exquisite and fragile detail and can be used for both cake decorating and papercrafting using air dry clay.
Guess what .............  we ordered those too! and the fabulous new CD rom and toppers featuring the stunning work from the House of Zandra.

These are some of the delicate results that can be achieved from using the moulds.

We just had to take these photographs - they certainly made us go Wow! these peices of artwork were being exhibited on the DCWV (Die Cuts with a View) stand and everything has been made with paper!

Next we popped over to the Bramwells stand and here are a few lovely samples from our lovely Mel Heaton using Hero Arts stamps and papers.

Well aren't these good enough to eat - we found these gorgeous paper cupcakes on the equally gorgeous stand from The Hobby House.

and look at this very eye catching Easter tree using some of the stunning flowers that we have ordered for the shop.

And have a look at these two!! They are, of course, the fabulous Anne-Marie from Hunkydory and Leonie from Create and Craft. They both won awards at the show.  Well done and so well deserved.

Thankyou for popping by and I hope that you have enjoyed a few snaps from the show.
I will be popping a few samples from my recent C and C Spellbinder shows tomorrow if you want to have a look at these.
I also am at the studio next week on the following days:
Tuesday 8am and 7pm
Thursday 2pm, 4pm and 7pm
Friday 10am and 4pm
Saturday 11am, 4pm and 7pm

Another busy week ahead! I will still be demonstrating Spellbinders from the Blockbuster but they will all be new demonstrations so have a look.
I am now going to sit and colour until I go to bed - I find this the very best way to relax!
Bye for now and hope to see you back again soon,
Jo xx
