Day 18 - Vintage romance

Hello Everyone,

I hope that this finds you all well today and have enjoyed a lovely weekend.  It looks as if we escaped the snow, for now, thank goodness!
I have a little romance and vintage on the cards for this project.

The main focal image is a stamp from Joy crafts and I love it. I stamped it onto background paper so that always gives a headstart with your colouring. The ink that I used was momento cocoa as I decided to use pro-markers to colour the rose.  I also stamped the rose several times so that I cut decoupage it with an extra 3 layers. I also distressed the edges of the paper.  The scroll at the back is just some more background paper from the same pad as the stamped image - they are from Paper Artsy. The background embossing is from a Crafters companion folder and the die cut is a marianne.  Grosgrain ribbon and pearls and a little guilding wax here and there finishes this off. I really enjoyed making this and hope that you like it too.
Thankyou so much for popping in and hope to see you again tomorrow.
Bye for now
Jo xx

Week 273 - Warm Summery Colours

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Well it has finally arrived - our week away on holiday! today we fly off to Rhodes and we are both so ready for a few days of R and R! a little sunshine would be lovely too.  I am in the throws of packing so this wont be a mega long post!
The week understandably has been a bit hectic trying to fit everything in and get all my work caught up so I wont have too much to get on with straight off the plane! We have had a couple a lovely workshops and these have been using the Joy floral stamps and I have chosen one of the projects to show you as it is perfect for this weeks Challenge ~
Warm Summery Colours

The Joy stamps are clear and very easy to use.  The print is excellent.  The whole design is in one with the gorgeous Lilly and the script in the background so we decoupaged the Lily and coloured it with Distress Pens, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade.
You cant see the envelope too well but the bottom half of the design has been made using the WR Memory Keepers Envelope maker which is such a great tool and I would highly recommend it - so easy to use.
A flourish and a tag with a sentiment finished off a really lovely but quick project.

The Design Team have made some gorgeous samples this week, as usual, and if you pop over to the Allsorts Blog you can get some more inspiration.
We also have 2 fabulous sponsors this week:

and

so a massive thankyou to both of these for their support.
Must dash now, I will post next week but I m afraid that I wont be able to do any commenting as I wont be taking the lap top!
Have a lovely week and enjoy the Bank |Holiday whatever you are planning.
Bye for now
Jo xx
