DAY 10 - Christmas Inspiration

Hello Crafters!

Thankyou for popping by again today.  

We have a project using the Tattered Lace Christmas Embossing folders and this was a sample that was shown on TV when these were the Pick of the Day.

The embossing on the card speaks volumes - it is such a deep impression and to make it even more detailed I have used Treasure Gold wax to highlight the gorgeous pattern.

What do you think?

I have used a Tim Holtz Poinsettia die to make the flower and sprayed this with mica to bling it up a bit.  Ribbon and a flourish finishes off the design.

Do you own any of these embossing folders - if you do I am sure you will agree they are a joy to use.

DAY 9 - Christmas Inspiration

Good Morning!

Monday morning came round a little too quick! but another week and lots of hours ahead to do some more crafting! and another week for a daily blog of Inspiration for Christmas.

Today a little number using another Sheena stamp from her recent collection ~

I inked the stamp with blackVersafine ink and then embossed it with clear embossing powder to give it a lovely lift and then coloured the poinsettias in with Poppy pro-marker and popped glossy accents on the top to enhance them further.
The apature frame started off with forest green cardstock, I cut an apature out using a grand Spellbinder, embossed it using Sheena's holly folder and then highlighted with some Treasure gold.
It needed a little more so I have used Sue Wilson's poinsettia dies to make a couple of flowers.
Very few materials required and such a quick card. If you needed it suitable for posting at the cheapest rate then leave the flowers off, this still looks great.

DAY 8 - Christmas Inspiration

Good Sunday Afternoon,

I hope that you are all enjoying this gorgeous Autumn Sunday afternoon.  I think this is one of my favourite times of the year especially which the sun shines (and you can still get your washing dried out on the line!)

Are you still following the Christmas Inspiration? today we have another easel design ~

This is full of Marianne Design dies and the stamp is a Marianne too.  I have used a shaped card to make the easel which gives it a little bit more interest. I love this tree - it really is a great size and can be used on its own but also layered up like I have done here.  I have used Weathered wood distress ink to highlight all of the embossed details in the dies and also around the edge of the card.

DAY 7 - Christmas Inspiration

Good Morning Crafters,

Thankyou so much if you are still following on my daily mission to inspire you with some Christmas crafting.

This is a lovely stamp from our equally lovely Sheena Douglass.  It really makes you feel warm inside when you see this image all coloured.  I have used pro-markers to colour.  You will see that I have used a twisted easel design for the card and have used cinnamon sticks as the easel stopper.  Tie one or two sticks together with some organza ribbon.  You can easily buy cinnamon sticks from a good supermarket or health food shop. I have used Spellbinders Labels 1 as the base for the stamped image and a sentiment from the stamp set in the corner.  I have also used glossy accents on some of the image to highlight.

I really enjoyed making this card and it would be lovely to send it to any of your friends and family at Christmas.

Week 278 - All Stitched Up

Hello again this morning!

For my second post today I have my Allsorts Challenge design and this week it is our lovely Sarah's week to choose a Challenge title and she has chosen ...............

It's A Stitch Up!

and this is my design I have chosen to show you.

This is a decorated MDF shape from Anna-Marie Designs.  It is a 2 piece kit with the letters Boy or Girl supplied.  I have used Craft Creations 12" x 12" paper to cover the whole background .  I have made faux cuffs, placket and pocket with the same paper.  I have machine stitched around all of these areas which makes the project look really realistic.  The heart has the babies name, date of birth and weight on it and it will be kept as a keepsake.  A charm some buttons and ribbon finish off the project.

I really enjoyed making this side of project.

DAY 6 - Christmas Inspiration

Hello Crafters,

Good Friday Afternoon!

Today I have another card using some of the recent Tonic Christmas designs and really enjoy

all the different designs that you can do with them.

What did we do without our dies I often ask myself!

I have used the star from the Christmas Ornaments set and also one of the Edger dies that shows another way of using these apart from on the edge.  I have used embossed cardstock for the background.

The star and the border on the edge is silver glitter card.  

Some pearl embellishments and ribbon finish off this really quick card.

Day 4 - Christmas Inspiration

Hello again Crafters,

Day 4 of Christmas inspiration has arrived and I have a really quick and very simple card to hopefully get your mojo going for your Christmas makes.

The is the Nativity scene from Crafter's Companion Create a Card dies.  

I have cut and embossed it once on black Centura Pearl which is ideal to use for this traditional scene. It is a must to emboss it as well as cut as you get all of the fine detail.

I have used guilding flakes onto double sided adhesive for the background - I'm not sure if you can get the real feel of this from the photograph.  Gold gems dotted around gives it a bit of bling. I matted both layers onto cream cardstock and then onto a 7" ivory cardblank.

This is one of Friday's workshop cards and hope they enjoy making it as much as I did.
