Day 25 - A little parchment project!

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to Sunday's post and I hope that you are enjoying a lovely day off, chilling and doing just what you want to do.

Yesterday we had parchment class at the shop and all of our lovely ladies loved the project - the main focus for learning was the colouring which is one of my favourite techniques in parchment craft.
I thought I would share this with you - I know that Parchment crafters are a relatively small bunch compared with papercrafters but I hope you enjoy it.

The pattern is a bit of a mix and match from 3 different patterns - I do like to mix it up a bit! the Roses were taken from a pattern from a friend of Let's Create Maria Maidment - I added a few leaves here and there as there was a butterfly in the pattern which I didn't want to add. The ribbon threading was taken from another pattern which I have had since 2010.
Here are a couyple of closer shots of the roses.

I used Spectrum Noir pencils to colour the design - they really are a fabulous, and affordable, colouring medium. I also used the blending solution on a number of areas to smooth and blend out where it needed it.

I hope that, even if you are not into this craft, you like the project.

Hope that you enjoy the rest of your weekend and hope that you can find time to leave a comment.  Not many more days left to be in with a chance to win some blog candy by popping a comment in .
Thankyou for popping in.
Bye for now
Jo xx

  1. This is beautiful Jo, the colouring and blending is fantastic. Have done a bit of parchment in the past but not for a few years now, perhaps I should give it a go again.
