Week 269 - time for tea

Good morning everyone,

How are you all? Well I hope and continuing to enjoy this lovely weather.
Apologies for my absence last week - I intended to post on the Tuesday that we came back from a long weekend in Norfolk with our lovely friends Caroline and John.  Unfortunately Mark has been a bit poorly this week with a bug and I have been in charge of the shop as Mr C had to have a few days at home :( He is on the mend now and back at work today. Understandably it left me a bit busy so I am afraid work had to come first.

The weekend was fabulous such as relaxing few days with lots of sunshine, ice-cream and fish and chips!! Norfolk has such unexpected beauty with pretty little villages and quaint towns with little boutique shops and cafes and the coastal towns are fabulous. It was also Caroline's 40th birthday so we had a little celebration on the Saturday evening!

Well back to the topic of today we have been asked by our lovely Sarah's turn to choose a theme for this weeks Challenge and it is ~

TIME FOR TEA

I think this is a lovely Challenge and I have chosen the following project to share
with you ~

This is mainly a Heartfelt Creation project with the stamp and the background paper.
The stamp for the tea cup China Fragments set and for the flowers it is the Tattered Florals die cut and stamp set. The papers are from one of the Heartfelt Creations paper packs.
I have finished the flowers off with some black micro beads in the middle to give them some definition.

The design team have made some excellent projects too and so pop over to see them at the Allsorts Blog. Our Sponsors this week are Flonzcraft and Eureka Stamps

Today I am getting my samples ready for tomorrow's demonstration at Inspirations in Preston.  It is Christmas all the way and if you are in the area on Sunday it would be lovely to see you.

We also have a very exciting event at our shop next Saturday 2nd August - it is our 1st Birthday in our Tattershall shop and we have the fabulous Sheena Douglass coming to demonstrate. The event will be on from 10 am until 4pm, with refreshments all day and inspiration by the bucket full from Sheena. I am also going to put some blog candy up on my blog next Saturday to celebrate our Birthday weekend so watch out for this too.

Thankyou for popping by and hope that you can find the time to leave a comment.
Enjoy a lovely weekend whatever you are planning to do and don't forget to join in the Challenge for some great prizes.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Bye for now

Week 267 - Splish Splosh!!

Good Morning Crafters!

How are you all? what a lovely week for the sunshine, I hope this keeps up it does everyone the world of good.
I hope that you have all had chance to do a little crafting this week too - I have heard a little whisper that the Christmas crafty bits have been unpacked in some crafty dens - is that you I am talking about?
This week at Allsorts our lovely Tracey Mouse has asked us all to show you some inspiration to include

Splish Splash - to include water!

and this is a card that I have come up with -

I have used one of the Hobby House Art pads - I thought that this image was perfect for the challenge.
I have coloured in with pro-markers and popped some glossy accents onto the water bits!

The papers that I have used are the Heartfelt Creations Nursery collection and the baby buttons and ribbons are from my stash.
I hope that this and the Design Team at the Allsorts Blog inspires you to have a go - there are so many ideas you can use which include water - a great challenge and I am sure it is going to be a popular week.
Crafty Ribbons are our sponsors this week - thankyou to them for their support.

I have a week ahead of catching up with work jobs I need to clear up and also try to have some time out as Mark is bugging me about over doing it!!!!!!!
Many thanks as always for popping by and having a read. Please leave a comment if you have a few minutes - I love reading your thoughts.
Take care and enjoy a lovely week
Jo xx

Week 266 - Fairies - Allsorts Challenge

Good Morning Crafters,

I hope everyone is well and happy out in Craft Land. My apologies for my absence last week I was snowed under and just could not fit one more job into a very full week.
The end of the week included our fabulous Let's Create day at our local village hall and it was a superb day with 54 very enthusiastic, but tired crafters going home with 4 great projects.
Thankyou to the excellent Paul Church, the very creative Chris Scott and our superb resident tutor Caroline.

These are a few of the photographs that were taken on the day.

Pauls Buff it and Gentle Blends project.

The Mum's getting the lovely food out.

The ladies doing Caroline's very pretty Decoupatch project.

A lovely day had by all.  we are now looking forward to the next one in November - with a Christmas theme!!

Back to todays Challenge for Allsorts.  We have been asked to design a card with Fairies as our inspiration.  The Pinflair Scenes sprang to mind and this is what I came up with.

This was such a quick an easy card to do just a little blending, a little glitter and a flourish and a flower has made quite a pretty card.

Today at the shop is parchment class and the students will be concentrating doing a little grid work!
I must sign off now and get the workshop ready, thank you for popping in and please also take time to call in at the Allsorts Challenge blog and have a peep at the other design team members ideas on this weeks Challenge.

Thankyou for taking the time to pop and see me and please leave a quick comment if you have time.
Enjoy a lovely weekend,
Bye for now
