I hope you didn't mind being patient and waiting for the pictures . We were asked not to blog any pictures until Monday after the grand unveiling at the CHA show. Well that's done so I was free to show you! and then I haven't been able to get the pictures to load and have had a few technical problems but here goes!
I will pop a couple on every day this week or until they have all been shown and will tell you what new die I have used. I will be scheduling these tonight so there will definitely be on there each day until the samples have all been shown so keep looking in as I have about 40 altogether!!
The first sample is featuring on of my favourites in the collection and it is the Card Creator A2 Tranquil Moments set. This cuts the stunning framework in the middle of the design and in that centre is another die that cuts that gorgeous lacy edge that can be used in so many different ways.
I used one of the Spellbinder rose dies for the centre.
and now for some of the new Die D-lites and these are being sold in a huge set of 18 with 40 dies in total in the bundle! I have used three of the different sets - the butterfly (Flutters), the corners (Antique Corner) and the gorgeous centrepiece (Beautiful Locket). I have also used Frantage to colour the butterflies and some of the background paper to age the design. A cameo in the middle of the locket was a must and I have finished the design with a bow, gems and a silk rose.
The last one for this post is using one of the dies that has been really popular and it is the Peacock Feather which is a new Shapeability. The detail on this die is exquisite. In this sample I have cut the feathers many times in tissue paper and it really gives the effect of a feather - very delicate. I have also used the large die from the Reflective Moments set as a background for the fan.

I hope that you have enjoyed these first few samples and that you will pop in again tomorrow and have a look at some more ideas using these gorgeous new Spellbinders.
(I have scheduled the posts so technical problems don't occur!!)
Thankyou for popping in - let me know in a comment what you think to the dies and if you have seen any of the programmes this week.
Bye for now

I cannot record the shows, so watch as many as possible on Freeview. I especially likethe way you have used the peacock feather die. Looking forward to the rest of the posts.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo, just a quick question from a newbie :-). I have the full collection of the dies, the peacock feathers and the card creations. I love them! I have the grand caliber too. Do you ever have a problem with embossing folders in your caliber? Mine resists the folders when I try to use them, as though the folders are too thick and the plates open up very wide as they pass through the rollers....is this usual? I have no problem using any of the dies, I have lots of tissue peacock feathers cut, ready to re-create your fabulous card :-) A BIG fan :-)
