Well did you all watch the Olympic Opening Ceremony? What an amazing spectacular. I managed to stay up until 11.30pm (lightweight I know) but I have taped the rest. I hope you enjoyed it too - it makes you very proud to be British.
Anyway, back to reality! It has been a very busy time again for me with some great workshops at Let's Create but also an excellent trip to Wales to demonstrate at a terrific shop Dandie Crafts which is owned by Debbie and Mandy. A great day with a demo in the morning and a workshop in the afternoon. Have a look at the photographs at the end of the post to see what an excellent day we had.
Back to the job in hand this morning, this is my offering for this weeks Allsorts challenge -
The title that our lovely Emma gave us to work with was Case It. We could take anything from the card design that she gave us and I chose to take the layout including the circle frame. My main image is from Sheena's A Little Bit Scenic range which I have coloured using Distress Pens - really loving these they are so versatile (what else do we expect from Ranger!!) The paper is from the Bo Bunny vintage range and I have used one of the new Cheery Lynn designs - the Sunflower - to embellish.
Thankyou to our Sponsor ~
as ever they will be giving away a lovely prize to our chosen winner.
Pop over to the Allsorts Blog and have a peep at the DT's take on Brenda's Challenge and have a go.
As mentioned earlier our trip to Wales was a great success. We met some lovely crafters and were made so welcome by Debbie and Mandy who own Dandie Crafts - check the shop out if you are in the area. These are some of the photographs that we took on the Saturday.
Thankyou for making Mark and I so welcome.
We also had time for a little R and R and look at this stunning waterfall that we found!
Thankyou, as ever for popping in. Leave me a comment I love to read comments from you. Let me know if you watched the Opening Ceremony!
Bye for now Crafters

Hi Jo, gorgeous card and thanks for sharing the photos! You lasted longer than me with the ceremony, I usually love all the patriotic things we do, but this was just too 'surreal' for me(I think I said 'bonkers' last night, lol). Last weekend we were at an open air Alfie Boe concert and were treated to a 'mini last night of the Proms' at the end, I was so much more emotional and proud then...but I know I am in the minority for not enjoying it last night, so glad you did! Have a good weekend, Carole X
ReplyDeleteGood morning Jo,
ReplyDeleteIt was a great ceremony wasn't it, I didn't think I would see it through to the end and wavered halfway through the countries parading in, but managed to hang in there till the end and it was really worthwhile.
Your card is a really great take on a Emma's inspiration. Will try and catch you on C and C next week.

Fab card Jo, love the image, colours and those gorgeous flowers!
ReplyDeleteI missed the Opening ceremony as we were late back last night, Cadbury World really took it out of me!
Have a wonderful weekend

ReplyDeleteHi Jo, what a lovely card, you have managed to get such depth, it is like looking into the room, just brilliant as always!!
ReplyDeleteYes we stayed up last night it was amazing.
Your trip to Wales was near Amonford I believe, that is where Ken was evacuated during the war, many years ago but did go back when his parents were alive.
Take care with your busy week. Jean x
Great card Jo. I love those flowers.
ReplyDeleteLast night....I'd rather have been at an Alfie Boe concert like the lucky Carole Z last week!!!!!
A great card Jo, looks like you had a good time

ReplyDeleteBrill card as was the opening ceremony. So glad you enjoyed your trip to Wales. Although I don't like the photo of me!!! I think the waterfall you are showing is Ystalyfera near Swansea on the edge of the Beacons. So glad you enjoyed your trip
