Thankyou for popping in. What a shocking week for the rain again, and, I have heard today that May is going to be the coldest for centuries!! Great! Mark and I are going away for a few days in just over a week so I hope that it picks up a bit!!! He has booked a few days away as a surprise, we are going to be celebrating our Silver Wedding Anniversary on the 16th - I know I don,t need a passport so winter woolies may be required!!
Back to todays post. I am hosting this weeks Allsorts Challenge and I have chosen Black and White as the title. I would like to see a project made with just these 2 colours. I know with me it isn't difficult as I love to work in monochromatic colours. This is my card of choice .......
As you can see I have used Joanna Sheen's Cameo stamp set and Lace set. The cameo's were stamped onto parchment and embossed with black embossing powder. I have embossed the white areas of the cameos (this maybe difficult to see). I have also used the Grand Peony die set from Spellbinders to add the centre piece flower. The black pearls are from Creative Expressions black PVA glue which is an excellent product to add detail to any project.
The lace border has also been stamped onto parchment and embossed with white embossing powder.
The corners have so much detail it is incredible.
I hope that you like the look of this and I would love it if you left me a comment.
I also promised to show some of the photographs that we took at the demonstration day last Saturday. The lovely Hels Sheridan came along to demonstrate Studio 490 stamps and Art Parts. as you will see from these photographs what stunning work!
Great photo of Hels! Great to see her desk looks just like mine!
A stunning piece made from a very plain frame. The details are incredible, but so achievable.
Great aren't they! We have booked Hels again for October so for those that would have liked to have popped in and couldn,t there will be another chance.
Must dash now I have got the Scrapbooking class today at the shop and must get the kettle on ready!
I hope that you all enjoy the Bank Holiday - whatever you do.
Thankyou again for popping in, I would love a comment from you, and dont forget to pop over to the Allsorts Challenge and have a bash!
Bye for now
Jo xx
